Global urbanization and climate change will force cities to transform how they design and operate water systems in the future.  the need to manage nitrogen and phosphorus – rather than carbon – will drive the most critical decisions linked to sustainability, such as the development of energy-recovering wastewater treatment or the implementation of green infrastructure strategies.
