The Muskingum Watershed flows through all or part of 27 counties, draining a total of 8,051 square miles, and covering about 20% of the state. Created in 1933, the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD), a political subdivision of the State of Ohio, has been intentionally involved in water quality monitoring since 1986.  See full abstract, click here.
