Communities are often tasked with solving stream flooding, erosion and conveyance issues, but at the same time they lack a specific program or technical guidelines for conducting these activities in a manner that does not further exacerbate the problem or lead to water quality and/or habitat degradation. This training for municipal, township and county service, public works and engineering departments provides prescriptive guidance for conducting common stream maintenance activities in a watershed-friendly manner, as well as legal and permit considerations.
