Water Luncheon Webinar - Agricultural Conservation Planning Framework (ACPF)

Water Luncheon Webinar
Hosted by Ohio Watershed Professionals Association
Agricultural Conservation Planning Framework (ACPF) as a GIS-based Watershed Planning Tool
Presenter:
Matthew Romanko, Water Quality Associate
The Ohio State University Extension
Abstract:
The Agricultural Conservation Planning Framework (ACPF) is a GIS-based watershed planning tool designed to create more opportunities for stakeholder engagement in the watershed planning process. The tool uses high resolution, publicly available data layers to analyze the landscape and produce a menu of possible options for conservation at the sub-watershed to field scale. The tool offers watershed planners a data driven, scientifically defensible method for identifying possible opportunities for conversation in agricultural watersheds, as well as a new method for engaging with landowners and producers about potential projects. This presentation will give an overview of the ACPF, how it can be used for watershed planning and efforts being led for its use in Ohio.
A Zoom link to join the conversation will be shared upon registering.
